We all have times where we don’t feel like getting out of bed. Like when its cold outside and you’d rather stay in your warm cozy bed. But that’s not the type of tired I’m talking about. I’m talking about when you are seriously tired. So tired that you know you can fall asleep even if your standing up.
The first thing you need to do is ask yourself why you feel tired?
Is it just a lack of motivation? Or did you have a hard time sleeping the night before? Or do you feel exhausted and/or over trained?
If it is just lack of motivation, amigo beat the laziness by not overthinking it – just do it!
If you did not get enough sleep, you should consider doing a lighter workout but just show up. Believe me, you will feel better and more energized when you are done with your workout.
But if you are feeling exhausted and over-trained, give yourself some rest.
Working out in these conditions makes you more prone to injuries. You will have more inflammation and less recovery.
Remember to think about why are you tired in the first place, and if you need a day off, TAKE IT! You will come back stronger and it will be a more productive workout.
Which one sounds more like you? Comment below, we would love to hear about your experience.
